Criminal
Intent Not Gone...Just Moving to USA Network
EXTRA-EXTRA
Read all about it!
Los
Angeles, CA -
"New season, new network" In a history making
event NBC is not going to run original shows of Law &
Order: Criminal Intent starting October 4, 2007. The series
has been bought by USA
Network (you know the Monk network). This is great news
for both fans of the show and cale networks. The days of
crap o cable have long been gone. But to snag one of the
10000000 Law and Order shows as their own? Of course the
real reason i am so excited is Vincent D'Onofrio will be
back in akll his man glory being all smart and detective-y.
Los Angeles, CA - YouTube.com is the place to find out what's
new in the medium of indie film. Well, short indie film.
Some things get buried due to the immense offerings. So,
I like to share when I happen upon a wild-card that is fun
and... well...shareable. This week I have found two. One
is a reworking of a Beatles' tune. The other is a fun Edward
Gorey - meets - Tim Burton
-ah-
yet completely original journey back to school...
Los
Angeles, ca - Fender has announced its creation of the
Joe Strummer
Telecaster designed with the guidance and support of the
Strummer estate and featuring distressed “road-worn”
treatment, a “Revolution Rock” engraved neckplate
and a limited edition art customization kit. The Joe Strummer
Telecaster will be available at music product retailers
worldwide beginning July 2007. The U.S. MSRP is $1,285.71.
It's
this cool "road worn" guitar that comes with swag.
If you need a new guitar, why not check it out?
Depp
and Thompson sitting in a tree...again!
Los
Angeles, CA - You may remember Johnny Depp's wild ride as
Hunter S. Thompson in "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas."
Well, he's doing it again!
Per
IMDB.com:
Depp is bringing Hunter S. Thompson's autobiographical novel
The Rum Diary to the silver screen - seven years after he
was announced as the leading man. Depp was cast to play
the role of Thompson in 2000, co-starring with Nick Nolte
in the tale of a journalist's adventures as he moves from
New York to a San Juan newspaper in Puerto Rico. Benicio
Del Toro and Josh Hartnett were also appointed to star in
the movie in 2002, but the actors, including Nolte, are
no longer involved in the film. The revived project will
now be produced by Depp and The Departed filmmaker Graham
King - who has acquired the full rights to the book. The
Rum Diary will be penned and directed by Withnail And I
writer Bruce Robinson.
This news of pending release makes election
year almost worth looking forward to!
Oh and in all-things-Depp:
Johnny
Depp will play the lead role of an 175 year old Vampire
from the 60s TV show "Dark Shadows." (DVD
release review here)
Depp has said before in interviews that
he was obsessed with the show as a kid, and wanted to be
Barnabas Collins as a child - so looks like he's got there
at last. He's developing the film with Warner Bros and producer
Graham King and his own production company, but it's a little
way down his To Do list.
And Depp-ado has just wrapped "Sweeney
Todd" with Mr. Tim Burton.
He's a busy leedle boy, no?
