Kill
Bill Volume 2

Uma Thurman, Daryl Hannah, David Carradine

Bluntly
speaking?
Kill Bill 2 is a non-stop visual bombardment of cinematic pop
artistry accented with action-pulp hued genius! It's a tad less
kinetic and stands proudly as a volume on its own. Director Quentin
Tarantino designed these Bill films with his signature twisted
sense of comic-book reality, infused with a heavy-handed homage
to legend Sergio Leone - and in Kill Bill Volume 2, especially,
the commingled themes play brilliantly.
Tarantino's
delicate muse, Uma Thurman transforms into one tough ass-whoppin'-chickbabe
warrior bent on revenge but good!
In
KBV2 Ms Uma Thurman is back as The Bride. In KBV1 we learned her
ex-boss Bill (David Carradine) had her entire wedding party slaughtered
not
a very nice wedding gift huh?
The
Bride survived the bullets over Broad pews, regrouped, worked
out and went on a killing spree.
She
had made a naughty list and worked her way through
but she
had some unfinished business at the end of that film
there
was still Bill and a coupla Bill's do-badders, Budd (Michael Madsen)
and Elle (Daryl Hannah) hankerin' at her subconscious. Fear not,
there's clever flashbacks to keep you in-the-know of what you
need to know to get the now.
One
by one she finds her prey. She and Elle - the eye patch wearing
psychotic super model framed killer - have, perhaps, the coolest
fight scene ever put on film
. too bold a statement? Get
your own review. These two hellcats (with the help of dynamic
editing and stunt - coordination) frenzy about in a sleazy cubicle
of a trailer home like rabid cooncats thrown in a knapsack! It's
wildly original and oddly entertaining
especially for the
gal lovin' of you I'm sure!
See
this immediately - and remember it's Tarantino so somewhere in
there he may just have an "what the fu?" surprise for
you
Snack
recommendation: A sandwich designed with fore thought and
layered precisely
and a Tab.
