Bluntly speaking? Marvel's latest dance with celluloid, The Punisher (aka Frank Castle aka actor Tom Jane) is an adrenaline frenzy of raw emotions. It's only fitting this soundtrack, filled with hot bands of an alternative rock with metal-gothicy under current style, should have that same pulsing theme running through it.

This aint bubble bath material folks - you can kick box to the works - but softly playing at a candle it dinner is out. Hehe.

Edgewater supplies ' Eyes Wide shut" while Queens of the Stone Age bring a new generation a restyled ' Never Say Never' that's done so well, it's worth the price of the soundtrack itself. Drowning Pool's 'Step Up' is very Spinal Tap meets Judas Priest - truly. I aint knocking them but...oh, I guess I am - please it's that generic, frankly y comical devil-voiced, air-guitar beach-boulevard cruising circa 1984 style of "rock." Puddle of Mud's 'Bleed' is mucho los bettero. The piece has a fun rock-bounce feel that pleases the audio orifice. Nickelback's 'Slow Motion' has great lyrics- the guitars over it are , again, that da-d-a-da-da- rock beat. The Devil makes a cameo in Damageplan and Jerry Cantrell's 'Ashes to Ashes." Hellfire and guitars unite as we are at a stadium-style concert in our minds jumping up and down spinning round and round...me at least. The mayhem is slowed down with an acousticy 'Broken;' by Seether and Amy Lee. The vocals are haunting and Lee's particular style touching. And Atomship's 'Time for People' is creep-o-rama while being rather catchy. It's a kind of "Ode to The Punisher" if you will.

There's a few weaker tunes thrown in - but for the most part it's a kick-ass soundtrack.
